Whether you provide photographs, ideas for articles, jokes, or just a short letter, we'd like to hear from you.

We don't mind how awful you think it is, most of us started the same way, by sending something. We sort out grammar, spelling etc. so you don't need to worry about that. As long as you have something interesting to say, we'd like to hear it.

No contributors get paid (not even the professional writers who sometimes contribute), it's all done for love of 'Pools.

You can send in anything that you think might be suitable, in any format that you like. Our preference would ideally be for Microsoft Word files, formatted in 8pt Arial, on A5 vertical pages with 12mm borders, but we cope with anything: handwritten, typed, e-mail, whatever, just as long as we can read it. Likewise pictures can be almost any format. Most digital camera pictures are fine, but please remember that the higher the resolution of the picture file, the more chance we have of avoiding the "jaggy" edges which can spoil low resolution pics. Pics from older mobile phones are usually a bit too small to use.
